Tabata Workout 11-10-2011

Heart racing, breath is heavy – this seems to be the right “area” for me as far as time on/off goes, I’ll keep with 15/15 for a week and then try a 20/10 ratio when I feel up to it. Had to really tell myself “just do it” motivation is low but working through that as well.

15 seconds on / 15 seconds off 8 rounds:

  • 4 sets Thrusters (15lbs dumbbells)
  • 4 sets Bodyweight squats
Update:
I nearly died today, not because the workout killed me but because my legs nearly gave out as I crossed a busy intersection. I am such a pussy. Lock it up! Interested in more difficult workouts… but not so much the dying. Dear Legs, stop sucking. Dear shoulders, I remember you. Dear lungs, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
Update 2:
It’s the next morning (11-11-2011) and my legs are still really sore, shoulders are “okay”. I’m going to postpone my workout today and hopefully by the afternoon I’ll feel like my legs can take another series of tabata’s. May have to resort to every other day for awhile until I’m better conditioned.
